The Soviets liberated Stalag 3A
on April 22, 1945. It was an awesome sight to see 100's of Soviets troops
come through the camp, men and women. I remember saying to myself "I
would hate to fight these guys!" They were tough, after years of terrible
fighting and living off the land as they moved west.
